Who is Alameda for Safe Cannabis Access (ASCA)?

We are a local group of Alamedans: patients, residents and business owners.

Alameda for Safe Cannabis Access - ASCA is a grassroots movement supporting cannabis on the Island of Alameda and are composed of:

  • Alameda patients seeking safe and controlled access to medical cannabis

  • Alameda business owners who reside on the island.

  • Alameda residents who care about keeping our local economy thriving.

How did Alameda for Safe Cannabis (ASCA) get started?

Alameda for Safe Cannabis Access is an educational movement. It was created to support an legislative action by our Mayor which would enable the safe access to cannabis on the island of Alameda and would also stipulate a preference for local ownership of cannabis businesses, to allow them to be in the hands of Alamedans.

What does ASCA stand for or want to accomplish?

Alameda for Safe Cannabis Access support the mayor's call for the safe access to cannabis on the island of Alameda and a preference for local ownership of cannabis businesses, to be in the hands of Alamedans.

We want the City of Alameda to ensure that it supports its residents, keeps our economy focused on being "local", and puts the wellness of resident patients first once it allows cannabis on the island. When it does, we simply ask the city to prioritize local residents to put...

ALAMEDA FIRST.
